Comms regulator Ofcom is to launch a price comparison scheme to make it easier for users to choose the best fixed-voice, mobile, broadband and digital TV service.
Ofcom has completed a consultation on the scheme which it started at the beginning of the year. It is now looking for suppliers to contribute price data to allow the scheme to take off.
The price comparison scheme is a key plank to the regulator’s new consumer policy. It is designed to protect users from scams and unfair practices, provide adequate information to allow consumers to make informed choices, and ensure that switching processes allow consumers to move between providers quickly and easily.
