Nokia is to open a networking operating centre in India to support the mobile network infrastructure of mobile operators in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Nokia is to open a networking operating centre in India to support the mobile network infrastructure of mobile operators in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

The location of the site has yet to be confirmed but the centre will initially employ 100 technicians to support Nokia’s managed networking business.

Nokia has managed service contracts with 34 companies in 28 countries.

Nokia's operations in India already include networks and terminals sales divisions, three research and development facilities and an upcoming manufacturing facility in Chennai that will produce both terminals and GSM infrastructure equipment.
