Blue Arrow extends SAN to support Exchange
Recruitment company Blue Arrow has extended its EMC-based storage area network (SAN) and Legato backup system to support Microsoft Exchange, as part of its IT consolidation strategy.
The consolidation has involved the implementation of Citrix, allowing the replacement of relatively high maintenance PCs with thin client devices and the installation of an EMC SAN, Legato backup system and ADIC Scalar i2000 tape library.
Chris Shilton, IT manager at Blue Arrow, said the new SAN had improved efficiency. "Re-configuration of server disk capacity is very simple and saves time compared with similar upgrades with direct attached storage," he said.
