Chinese PC manufacturer Founder Group has set up the headquarters of its international business division in Glasgow, with the aim of developing sales and marketing channels in Europe, offering "world-class services at Chinese prices".

Fraser Stevenson, director of European operations for Founder, said the facility will organise local configurations for its systems as well as establishing deals with other original equipment manufacturers.

"Obviously, price will play an important factor in some of our entry-level systems," Stevenson said.

Founder was established by Peking University in 1986 and has become one of China's largest PC makers. It plans to create up to 100 jobs in Glasgow over the next three years.
