IT recruitment consultancy, Computer People, held a series of breakfast seminars across the UK this month to address the impact of IR35 on the IT industry and on end user clients.
Presented in conjunction with accountancy firm, 3 Sixty Group, the seminars - attended by business managers and directors - looked at the effects, legalities and liabilities arising from the adoption of IR35 solutions by contractors and their agencies.
"IR35 may have taken effect on April 1st but there is still little information as to what the real impact the legislation is having on companies and how they can protect themselves from the various solutions now being adopted by contractors," explains Peter Searle, managing director of Computer People. "We have been working with our clients to readdress contracting conditions and we now wish to share this knowledge with other UK businesses."
Additional seminars may run later this year.
