SAP user group focus on BusinessObjects

Users of SAP BusinessObjects in the UK will influence future releases of the software through the SAP UK & Ireland User Group.

Users of SAP BusinessObjects in the UK will influence future releases of the software through the SAP UK & Ireland User Group.

The user group has become a member of the core team that will drive a charter aimed at increasing interaction of BusinessObjects customers with SAP.

"We decided this is a good charter to be involved because BusinessObjects customers are a key focus for us," said Craig Dale, chief executive of the SAP UK & Ireland User Group and member of the BusinessObjects charter team.

The business intelligence special interest group has doubled in size in the past two years. Interest in BusinessObjects subject matter has grown significantly, Craig Dale said.

"We want to be able to provide the subject matter our members and non-SAP users of BusinessObjects want," said Dale.

"We also want to understand what BusinessObjects customers want from the user group and SAP, so we can work with them to influence future products," he said.

The initiative is also aimed at providing BusinessObjects customers with the education and networking opportunities they would like.

The focus on BusinessObjects is key to the SAP UK & Ireland User Group's strategy for increasing its usefulness and growing its membership.

The BusinessObjects charter is a joint initiative by SAP and the SAP User Group Executive Network (SUGEN) made up of 12 user groups from around the world.

The initiative was announced at SAP's Sapphire Now customer and partner event held jointly in Orlando and Frankfurt 17 to 19 May.
