Texas Instruments has developed a processor for mobile phones that will allow users of next-generation handsets to shoot high-definition video and take 20-megapixel photographs.
The OMAP-DM5x device from Texas Instruments supports up to 20-megapixel digital camera sensors and up to 720p high-definition camcorder functionality .
TI said the chip provides face tracking, red-eye removal, image stabilisation, auto scene detection, high ISO noise filter, video stabilisation and video noise filter.
