Insight aims to solve the key problems of implementation and accessibility for non-technical users that traditional BI is struggling to overcome.
Rather than shoehorn existing technology to fit customer requirements, Altosoft Insight claims to have handpicked the best bits from business activity monitoring (BAM), enterprise application integration and BI.
“Operational business intelligence problems far exceed the capabilities of traditional BI, BAM and dashboard solutions. Instead of re-purposing existing technologies designed for different problems, we started from a clean sheet of paper,” said Altosoft chief executive Scott Opitz.
Insight is modular, so users can pick and choose whether to license the basic dashboard capabilities or advanced workflow-driven predictive software. No coding is required, nor is a datawarehouse to aggregate data.
General business users can access the information they need using Microsoft Office and SharePoint and create customisable dashboards using a simple drag-and-drop design.
