Symantec's IM Manager 8.0 includes management and reporting features to allow companies to more easily record all text and voice conversations over IM networks.

IM Manager 8.0 can be used to provide security on both ends of IM conversations, blocking viruses and other malware from entering the corporate network.
The platform can also be used to prevent employees from sending confidential information outside the network.
IM Manager 8.0 can now support GoogleTalk, the search engine’s voice messaging application.
Version 8.0 allows administrators to limit or block the voice features of GoogleTalk and other IM clients that support voice communications.
Symantec has also included a quarantine feature in IM Manager 8.0 to counter the increased threat of malware and viruses being sent over IM networks.
