Microsoft has released a new version of its Windows Automotive development software to help car makers produce better in-car communications and entertainment.

Windows Automotive 5.0 provides new features such as the automotive user interface toolkit, and delivers expanded virtual memory support for the creation of complex 3D graphics and advanced navigation displays.

New automotive system tools include improved test modules and easy-to-use product engineering guidelines to help simplify the development process and increase reliability.
