The Harte & Garter Hotel in Windsor is turning itself into a giant wi-fi broadband press centre to host hundreds of international journalists covering Prince Charles’ wedding to Camilla Parker-Bowles tomorrow (9 April).
The hotel, situated opposite Windsor Castle and near the registry office the couple are marrying in, has been fitted out with wi-fi and fixed-broadband links by BT.
Owned by pub chain Spirit Group, the hotel will flick the switch on its new communications network at 5am on the day of the wedding.
By the end of the day, the building will turn back into a hotel with the restaurant serving meals and champagne to reporters.
