Combined Insurance has awarded a £4m contract to LogicaCMG to extend its new infrastructure and management system, Endeavour, from its Australian division to its UK and Ireland operations.
The investment into the Endeavour system will deliver substantial business benefits and cost savings for the UK and Ireland operations, as the company moves towards consolidating its operations onto a single system, the company said.
The system will improve the control of all aspects of Combined’s accident and healthcare insurance business by consolidating all data related to the company’s policies, policyholders, representatives and business units, and providing a single view of the whole business.
A large proportion of the systems integration and development is being performed by LogicaCMG’s international offshore facility in Bangalore, India.
Combined said some of the benefits of the company-wide system include a reduction of information repositories, increased data mining abilities, automation of billing, and increased marketing capabilities and competitiveness.
