IBM has announced a partner programme that will help users meet their data compliance requirements.
As part of the new IBM Business Partner Compliance Initiative, the company has announced a channel-ready pilot programme that provides systems integrators, business partners and independent software vendors (ISVs) with the capabilities to create a Data Retention Centre of Competence for their clients.

The programme includes IBM assistance for technical and industry education, sales enablement, and support and tools to help IBM partners assist their clients with compliance.
Alan Stuart, IBM chief strategist for data retention solutions, said the move would help IBM clients "take a more integrated, long-term approach to data retention challenges".
One of the first products that will be available to "test drive" in the new compliance centres will be the IBM TotalStorage DR550, a system delivering a central point of control for both regulated data and non-regulated retention managed data.
