Big Blue said the Websphere Commerce Suite version 5.1 allows "anytime, anywhere" access to e-commerce sites and incorporates enhanced mobile computing features - including notification messages, automatic content selection and customised shopping flow - that can be tailored to individual devices.
The software suite supports functions such as region-specific sales and tax shipping rules, customised product catalogues and localised payment methods and pricing.
These features are designed to allow companies that operate in diverse countries to conduct business around the world more efficiently.
