SAP and Microsoft has finally released Duet Enterprise, the product that brings together Office 2010 and the SAP ERP system.

Duet Enterprise connects Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and other software, providing end users with access to business processes and data, SAP and Microsoft said. "Businesses deploying Duet Enterprise can enhance the return on their existing IT investments and create a more collaborative infrastructure that will help improve overall productivity."

"Customers and partners have frequently requested deeper integration between SAP and Microsoft. Duet Enterprise delivers on that need by combining the power of the SharePoint business collaboration platform and the familiarity of Microsoft Office 2010 applications with SAP," said Eric Swift, Microsoft SharePoint general manager

Along with the product itself, the two companies have introduced a partner network called the SAP-Microsoft Unite Partner Connection programme. Service providers who have signed up include Atos Origin, Logica and Wipro.
