BT Vision glitch hits Sky Sports viewers

A glitch in BT Vision left some customers unable to view the Sky Sports channels over the weekend.

The company was hit by hundreds of complaints over the weekend due to a technical fault with its viewing cards, but a spokesperson said the problem has now been resolved.

BT would not give any further information on the cause of the glitch.

"A small number of people complained - these customers were not sent new cards as we were able to fix the technical fault overnight over the system," said a spokesperson.

"Those customers affected will get one month's free rental, which will be worth £6.99 or £11.99 depending on their package. We apologise for any inconvenience to customers," he added.

Ofcom recently ruled that BSkyB must sell its premium sports content to rivals at regulated prices.
