BMW has reduced the complexity and cost of security with an identity and access management service from Logica.
The Identity and Access Management System (IDAS), which supports 200,000 staff, has unified all management in one place.
Andreas Neumann, project manager at Logica in Germany, said, "[The unified system] replaces a complex infrastructure that had high support and maintenance costs. In addition to improving security, IDAS simplifies user management for internal and external users."

This is a boost to Logica after its share value plummeted since the General Election. Government spending cuts are likely to affect the company's sales because it is highly dependent on UK public sector work.
