Swisscom moves to Red Hat Linux for customer support

OutsourcerSwisscomIT Services is now relying on the full suite ofRed Hat Linux productsto support customers from its datacentres.

Swisscom IT Services is using Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Cluster Suite, JBoss Enterprise Platform and other Red Hat technologies to support its "Simply Managed Linux" (Simlux) infrastructure in its datacentres.

Using Simlux, Swisscom supplies outsourcing services to more than 50 enterprise customers.

Swisscom IT Services runs about 70 SAP, 40 Oracle, 90 web and 100 application servers within the Simlux environment on behalf of customers.
