Barclaycard has requested pre-registrations
for its card that offers travel and contactless payment
capabilities to Londoners.
The company has penned the autumn for the availability of the
new card but is now asking for
pre-registration.
As well as being a credit card
Barclaycard OnePulse will act as an Oyster card for London
travel and a contactless card for payments less than £10.
Barclaycard Chief Marketing Officer Elizabeth Chambers said the
fast pace of London instigated the introduction.
"We believe Barclaycard OnePulse is the future of payments in
London and hope as many Londoners as possible enjoy the benefits
when it is rolled out in the autumn," she added.
John Stout, CEO of TranSys, said, "Barclaycard came to us with
an idea which could be dovetailed seamlessly with Oyster's existing
functionality to deliver added value for Barclaycard customers,
without disrupting a service which has become part of London life
for millions of people."
