A showcase of Nokia goodies from QT Developer Day

4/7

Some day, all car dashboards will look like this

This Qt-powered demo by Boston, Massachusetts-based company ICS uses Intel’s ‘Crossville’ dual-core Atom processors to create a next-generation LCD touchscreen car dashboard. As well as being able to preset multi-screen video to different screens at the front and back of the car, this application runs on the MeeGo Linux-based operating system for mobile devices and was written in Qt Quick in what the company claims to be “just three weeks” of development time. The applications are coupled so that the home screen can control the radio and so on, but they also run independently of each other so that a crash in one app will not affect another.
