An £8m unfair dismissal case brought by 186 former employees of a Scottish software development house has been adjourned until next year, after a Glasgow employment tribunal decided it would need more time to reach a conclusion.

Last week, former staff at TelesensKCSL brought the claim after they were made redundant without redundancy pay or their last month's salary.

Staff had been reassured days earlier that TelesensKCSL had £3.8m in the bank to pay their wages. Three days after the redundancies, Deloitte & Touche sold the firm for £6.4m to US firm Convergys.

The action has won support from MPs and has provoked calls for investigations by the Department of Trade & Industry.
