Orange France is the first mobile network operator to offer a 3G touch watchphone to consumers. UK customers will have to wait a few weeks, an Orange spokesman said.
The handmade LG GD910 from LG Electronics has a 36mm tempered glass, splash-resistant touchscreen in a slimline package less than 14mm thick.
Applications include a watch (world clock and stopwatch), VGA camera, MP3 player, diary and dictaphone.
It is 3G/3G+ compatible, giving it excellent compatibility with Orange 3G/3G+ mobile broadband. Users can call, send and receive SMS, and make video calls.
Bluetooth technology makes the watchphone practical and comfortable to use with a keypad, loudspeaker or earpiece. It also features LG's latest voice recognition and synthesis technologies.
