Ten months ago cloud data management specialist Rubrik outlined plans for channel growth across EMEA with ambitious plans to increase the indirect business.
Months on from that discussion the firm has provided an insight into its progress with the target still to get a focused number of resellers on board.
"In the Uk we want in the region of 20 to 25 committed partners," said Rubrik WEUR sales director Alex Raistrick "We are working with all sorts of partners and we have almost reached a critical mass for now."
"Resellers are able to offer a displacement technology. We are displacing backup and everyone has that problem. Every reseller has a customer that has something going on in the place, which is normally old and they can offer a new approach," he added.
"In 20 years of working in the channel I¹ve never seen a vendor get as much traction in such a short space of time as Rubrik," said Jason Dance, managing director of value added distributor BigTec. "In under three quarters we¹ve moved from partner acquisition to partner enablement as we see demand for its disruptive data backup technology and pioneering cloud data management platform across all sectors of the market."
The firm has a global network of 220 channel partners with more than 100 in EMEA and is close to delivering an $100m annual run rate in six quarters and it claims to have increased its enterprise customer base seven fold.
Rubrik is also not far off appointing a channel business manager in the UK to continue to develop its partner base and increase its support.
Karl Driesen, head of EMEA sales at Rubrik, said that it wanted to work with quality partners and would make sure that it had the support avaikable and could make it profitable for resellers that signed up.
