Livingstone offers short-term rentals of IT and audio visual kit and sitting alongside the Hamilton operation gives XTG the chanbce to boast of becoming one of Europe's largest rental specialists with 21 facilities in 9 countries.
XTG has built a strong short-term rental business in the US but set its sights on European expansion at the start of this year.
Jeff McFarlane, president and CEO of Xchange Technology Group, said that the Livingston deal would add to its European coverage and it was pleased to pick up a management team with strong market knowledge and a track record in the events sector.
The response from Livingston's managing director Siegbert Franz focused on the possibilities presented by being part of a larger outfit.
"The resources, offerings and reach of XTG, and the existing presence of Hamilton Rentals in Europe provides a completely unique platform for growth," he said.
