How to configure Mac OS X Server

Using Terminal application during start-up process

OS X Server will now start up Open Directory and create the new administrator account.

This will take a few minutes. If you are worried the process is taking too long, open up the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and use “tail -f /Library/Logs/slapconfig.log” to get a running update on how far along the process is and whether it is having problems.
