The Windows Azure Platform Management Portal provides access to service deployment and management tasks as well as at-a-glance status information that lets you know the overall health of your deployments and accounts.
Management Portal Functionality for SQL Azure
In addition to service deployment and management tasks, the Windows Azure Platform Management Portal provides the user interface for provisioning SQL Azure servers and logins, configuring the firewall, and creating SQL Azure databases. After provisioning a server, you must use a tool such as SQL Server Management Studio or the Management Portal for SQL Azure for database management tasks such as designing and editing tables, views, and stored procedures, and authoring and executing Transact-SQL queries. For a list of tools and utilities supported with SQL Azure Database, see Tools and Utilities Support (SQL Azure Database).
