BIW Technologies, a 40-man UK software house based in Woking, has sold its online construction project control software to Bill Gates.

Now that he no longer runs Microsoft, Bill Gates is dedicating his time to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The Foundation bought the BIW Technologies software to support the design and construction of the its headquarters in Seattle.

The initial phase in the construction of the US$50m Seattle Center 5th Ave N Parking Garage is scheduled for completion in mid-July 2008. The software, which runs as a service, is supporting the design and construction of the key first phases of the campus buildings.

BIW Technologies' Document Management has been used to support drawing submittal and approval processes, and Change Control is being configured to meet the team's requirements.
