know what you have or how to find it, so it can be very difficult
to find the files that may be required by a court of law. It's also
difficult to enforce data deletion (aka scrubbing) if you have not
categorized your data. Recently, a judge gave a large chipmaker 30
days to recover about 1,000 lost emails that should have been kept
for an antitrust lawsuit. It can be a daunting task to locate
related emails, especially when the body of the message has nothing
to do with subject lines -- each email body must be searched.
Delays and the inability to locate required data can result in very
