Bluesocket has acquired SIP-based enterprise communications solutions leader Pingtel to expand its voice over IP and unified communications offering.
SIP is a protocol that makes it easier for firms to quickly add IP-based devices and services to their network.
Bluesocket said the acquisition would enhance its products and services in secure Wi-Fi, VoIP and unified comms services via its enterprise fixed mobile convergence (FMC) strategy.
Mads Lillelund, CEO at Bluesocket, said, "As a result of this acquisition, we are better positioned to deliver an integrated solution that meets the mobility needs of customers across a variety of industries."
