The software, called Kalido 8, enables companies to build datawarehouses more quickly, Kalido said.
Features that aid regulatory compliance include being able to "time stamp" information and a central store of information about a company's products, suppliers and customers. Kalido said this repository would make it easier for analysts to access information about companies and compare their performance.
Global satellite communications provider Intelsat was an early adopter of Kalido 8. The company was required by the US Department of Justice to answer 13 key performance questions which involved it looking back at how its business was structured in the past. Intelsat was able to get the answers in one day instead of the three months it would have previously taken, according to Kalido.
