A third of IT managers will change their negotiating strategies with suppliers following a flurry of poor results from the computer industry.

This week's Computer Weekly/Harvey Nash Big Question poll found that IT chiefs are considering the effects of falling share prices and huge inventory excesses among suppliers. Hewlett-Packard, Cisco and Motorola, are among those to have announced poor results.
