Riverbed reports higher sales, but its stock fell 25% on a poor rating from financial analysts.

Weekly compilation of storage news:

Riverbed stock slips
Riverbed reported its quarterly results this week, showing a 157% increase in sales to $63.3 million from last year and had revenue of $2.8 million, compared to a loss of $3.1 million in the third quarter a year ago. However, that wasn't enough to satisfy investors. CIBC analyst Ittai Kidron sent out a note saying that the performance wasn't "good enough" because Riverbed has a track record of beating expectations, according to an AP report. Following Kidron's analysis, the stock plummeted more than 25% in one day, dropping $12.10 to $35.93. As of Friday morning it was trading at $32.66.

Elsewhere, EMC stock hit a six-year high of $24.61 after it reported a 74% profit for the quarter.

Riverbed also announced that that Bank of Korea has deployed its Steelhead WAFS appliances.
