HP Enterprise Services has won a seven year BPO deal with medical technology giant Smith & Nephew which will see the service provider provide finance and administration support to European operations.
Through standardised services sourced from India and Poland thee multi-national company wants to streamline processes and cut the costs of its operations.
"As part of our global transformation programme, we intend to streamline our processes while optimising the costs of operations to deliver a more effective service to our customers, suppliers and employees," said David Trollope, senior vice president, global financial systems for Smith & Nephew.
This will leave in-house teams free to focus on the provision of management information rather than doing day to day processes.
HP Enterprise Services, previously EDS, will provide BPO services from the HP Best Shore delivery centers in Poland and India.
