Can SAP HANA appliance be compared with Oracle Exadata?

By now you would have already heard about SAP’s High-Performance Analytic Appliance (HANA) appliance and would probably have even taken feedback from the few early adopters. You would also have heard about Oracle Exadata that is perceived as SAP HANA’s competitor in the in-memory appliances business.

How does then Exadata appliance fair against SAP HANA? Is it appropriate to compare the two?
