F-Secure has launched the latest version of its F-Secure Anti-Virus for Windows Servers system.

F-Secure AV for Windows protects against the 1,300 viruses created daily, said F-Secure.

F-Secure Anti-Virus for Windows Servers version 8 features new scanning technology to better combat rapidly evolving and increasingly targeted malware threats, said the supplier.

It provides real-time protection against viruses, spyware and riskware to prevent infections from spreading across a company's network.

The system allows companies to protect their Microsoft server platforms with centrally managed security.

Installations and management can be performed remotely, saving cost and time and allowing companies to focus on their core competencies, said F-Secure.

Performance improvements in the software enable companies to safeguard their Windows servers with a better level of protection, and with up to a 50% lower resource use compared to earlier versions, F-Secure said.

The product will be available from the end of April.
