CA has announced a new release of its Unicenter Advanced Systems Management (ASM) tool for managing virtualised and clustered server environments.
By submitting your personal information, you agree that TechTarget and its partners may contact you regarding relevant content, products and special offers.
Unicenter ASM is designed to automatically balance workloads in complex environments that include clusters and virtualised platforms, through pre-defined business policies.
It automatically discovers virtual and clustered resources and creates intuitive visual “maps” of them.
The tool can be used to ensure that memory or processor capacity is reallocated to support mission-critical applications if their performance level drops. Unicenter ASM can also make resources available by moving the least critical application on virtual machines to a different server.
The new release 11.1 can be used to manage resources across a heterogeneous, multi-supplier environment, allowing users to control virtualised and clustered environments with Microsoft, Sun, Red Hat, VMWare, IBM and Hewlett-Packard software through a single interface.
