nQuire provides real-time data analysis tools that will be incorporated into its vertical applications such as health care, financial services and consumer packaged goods, said Bruce Cleveland, senior vice-president of marketing at Siebel. The nQuire software will eventually become part of the Siebel 7 applications platform.
"The whole purpose of this is to [equip] a company so that in real time you can collect the analytical information," Cleveland said.
The nQuire technology features a Web-based architecture coupled with a scalable analytics server, said Larry Barbetta, chief executive and president of nQuire.
Terms of the planned acquisition were not disclosed.
