Third gen job site debuts

Website, umtswork.com, an on-line recruitment service for employers, agencies and job seekers in 3G telecoms, has been launched.

According to its managing director, Ian Tredgett, the service aims to provide a cost-effective and convenient way for employers to source suitably qualified or experienced members of the 'wireless workforce'. "With the price operators paid for UMTS (universal mobile telecommunications systems) 3rd generation licences, and the shortage of skilled staff, it is essential that employers can quickly contact and employ the right contract and permanent staff, and still remain within budget," he says.

Candidate users of the umtswork.com site can browse 'live' agency or company-posted vacancies, load their CVs for distribution and receive up-to-date job postings via e-mail. Employers can place vacancies, search the CV database, review applicant's details and liase directly with suitable candidates.
