In the wake of its recent Cloud Summit in London Ingram Micro has added to the services it can offer resellers increasing the level of automation available to encourage more partners to get involved with the hosted services market.
The crux of the improvements to the services on offer come as a result of the roll out of changes to the Odin platform, which is now providing automated processes to reduce the complexity of providing hosted services.
There are two main options with Automation Premium and Essentials with the first level combining automated processes with data analytics to help resellers keep an eye on what's happening with their customers.
The essentials option gives the partner the chance to automate the purchasing, provisioning and reselling of cloud technology.
The distributor has also launched a cloud referral programme and is generating pre-negotiation distribution agreements with pricing to speed things up for the channel.
Apay Obang-Oyway, director cloud & software, UK&I at Ingram Micro, said that all the expectations were for more spending around cloud and resellers needed to be supported in their efforts to capture some of that revenue.
“With enterprises now saying that their cloud and hosting budgets are likely to grow far more than their general IT spend in 2017 according to 451 Research, this is an opportune moment for partner organisations to grow a cloud business that can address their needs," he said.
"These new services and technologies are aimed at eliminating that complexity and enabling partner organisations to focus on what they do best – meeting customer needs and building profitable businesses," he added.
Ingram held its Cloud Summit in London earlier this month with the assembled channel audience hearing that the number of cloud opportunities was increasing and that the distributor was committed to being one of the partners of choice for those looking to sell hosted services.
