Channel roundup: Who's gone where?

Another week of changes in the channel with several people deciding now is the right time for a fresh challenge

It's been a couple of weeks since we last looked at who has gone where in the channel. There have been moves going on all the time and in an effort to pause for a moment and catch up on events here are some of the main moves in the last five days.


SATO
The Auto-ID solutions specialist has made a couple of hires designed to support its ambitions of expanding the channel business. Lara Noomene joins as channel marketing manager and Eckhard Wernich comes on board as business development executive. Both will be given a brief that includes making sure the firm's products have real value for channel partners.

ESET
The security firm has shuffled its management pack to make sure it has people in the right places to drive growth. "Putting the most challenging areas of our company into the hands of people who have spent countless hours building ESET into an award-winning IT security vendor will help to deliver proactive protection beyond compare," said Richard Marko, CEO of ESET. Palo Luka has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, Juraj Malcho becomes CTO and Ignacio Sbampato takes up the chief business officer job.

Turner & Townsend
The professional services consultancy has named Tom Deacon as its global head of digital. He is joining to help drive digital transformation and improve the ability of the firm to support customers as they go through their changes. "Digital technology and use of data presents us will a real opportunity to lead in this space," said Neil Bullen, managing director, global business generation for Turner & Townsend. "[Deacon's] strategic role will be vital to help to unlock the potential for our clients to make great decisions and improve delivery performance, as well as help to inspire a culture of innovation and collaboration.”

Dimension Data
The channel player has appointed Andy Ritchie and UK & Ireland sales director. His CV includes time recently as head of global sales for BT at Cisco. As well as a spell at the networking giant he has also been at BT Global Services and T-Systems.
