We take a look under the microscope at executive movement in and around the channel. Moves this week at Logicalis, NuData Security and Entatech

Logicalis

Managed services provider Logicalis has announced the appointment of Bob Swallow as managing director of its UK business.

Swallow, who was previously sales director, will lead the UK senior management team after a period of restructuring and transformation within the business.

Prior to joining Logicalis, he held senior sales positions at Dimension Data and Recite, as well as management roles at Datapoint and Chess Telecom.

“Bob brings a wealth of experience to the role having spent the past three decades leading IT businesses in key sales and executive management roles,” said Mark Rogers, CEO for Logicalis Group. “This is a fantastic time to be leading the UK business having restructured ourselves to meet the burgeoning needs of businesses looking to gain competitive advantage through digital transformation. I’m confident that Bob is the right man to lead the UK team as we move into this new phase of growth.”

Commenting on his appointment, Swallow said, "We’re seeing a decisive change in leadership priorities across the world. We understand that prioritising digital transformation is front of mind for many progressive-thinking organisations, and therefore we’ve spent the past 12-18 months adapting our own business to support and serve our customers on their digital transformation journeys.”

“Logicalis has a rich pedigree of offering market leading services, and I look forward to driving the UK business forward,” he added.

NuData Security

NuData Security announced the appointment of Robert Capps as vice president of business development.

Capps is a well-regarded security and cybercrime technologist, thought leader and advisor in the sector.

In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the company’s growing channel programme and the development of strategic alliances and partnerships.

Prior to the appointment, Capps served as senior director at RedSeal, where he was responsible for technical, security and customer operations.

“Robert brings a wealth of security and technology experience coupled with a deep understanding of companies’ unique cyber risk concerns and needs,” commented Michel Giasson, CEO, NuData Security. “The addition of Robert to our team is invaluable, underscoring our commitment to providing our customers with best-in-class service and protection from fraud and data breaches.”

Capps added: “The global threat environment continues to grow, and it’s clear that traditional fraud detection methods aren’t working. NuData Security flips the script on those traditional methods by working to truly understand the human behind the machine and put the emphasis on the good user. I’m thrilled to join this team and look forward to furthering these efforts to provide our customers with unparalleled protection and service.”

Entatech

Entatech has announced the return of Ellie Farley to its team as Microsoft product manager.

The distributor said that the return of Farley is expected to augment Entatech’s ambitions, as they invest further in promoting the Microsoft stack through marketing campaigns and reseller incentives.
Dave Stevinson, Entatech managing sirector, said: “Ellie is no stranger to Entatech’s reseller partners and was one of the reasons why our Microsoft business grew so much. Ellie’s return will cement the existing foundations and provide a fantastic platform for our ambitious growth plans.”

Stevinson continued: “Our investment in Microsoft software has been extensive in early 2016 and we are looking to increase our headcount to capitalize on new marketing and product initiatives. By reintroducing Ellie to the team, this demonstrates our commitment to Microsoft and the partners.”

The news of Ellie’s return follows the recent launch of Entatech’s PC Retour brand, its range of fully refurbished PC hardware and devices, authorised by Microsoft.
