Acer undergoes another management reshuffle

Changing of the guards at Acer UK as current country boss moves up the ladder to take on Europe

Acer UK will see a change to its management team effective immediately, with Gavin Parrish stepping the role of country manager.

Parrish moves from consumer and B2B unit director to take up the reigns. His predecessor, Marco Andresen, has been promoted to associate vice president of EMEA PBU division, based in Switzerland.

The promotions are part of a wider restructuring of European management. On the backend of 2013, Acer announced a structural overhaul, cutting staff numbers by 7% in an attempt to stop hemorrhaging fiscal results. Since then, the Taiwan-based PC vendor has undergone a dizzying number of changes across the senior management spectrum.

Andresen, who joined Acer in 2011, will be responsible for the European business unit. Prior to taking on the UK role in 2013, he was country manager for Acer Sweden.

Parrish will be recalled from overseas, where he has been responsible for defining business strategy and growing market share for Acer’s products and solutions.
