Attachmate pens deal with CMS Distribution

CMS resellers gain access to Attachmate's portfolio of secure terminal emulation, mobile enablement and managed file transfer software solutions

Solutions provider Attachmate today announced a deal with CMS Distribution.

The data storage and networking distie said that Attachmate - which specialises in secure terminal emulation, mobile enablement and managed file transfer software – would aid resellers in solving today’s IT challenges.

“We are delighted to be able to boost our offering to our customers with market-leading products from a company with Attachmate’s heritage,” said Andy Bass, group sales and marketing director, CMS Distribution. “Mobility continues to present challenges for businesses but by offering Attachmate and Novell solutions under one roof, CMS is perfectly positioned to help businesses overcome those challenges and enable secure mobility for our customers.”

Attachmate completed a merger with infrastructure software provider Micro Focus, significantly expanding the company’s global footprint. Barry Davis, sales director UK & Ireland at Attachmate, said that the merger would bolster CMS' offerings.

“Following the Attachmate Group and Micro Focus merger, CMS now represents a number of Micro Focus brands including Attachmate, Novell, NetIQ and SUSE,” Davis said. “This distribution agreement means that CMS now offers a complementary and very comprehensive solution set, providing a complete range of enterprise IT products for modern businesses.”

“Attachmate has remained focused on delivering technology that enables organisations to stay ahead of market demands without compromising on data security. Attachmate solutions complement CMS’ existing portfolio, enabling customers to extend, manage, and secure their essential business information."
