Entatech has disaster recovery Vision

Disaster recovery, high availability and migration software and services outfit Vision Solutions, signs distribution contract with Entatech and eyes up Fujitsu partners

Cloud protection and recovery, migration and data sharing specialist Vision Solutions has given Entatech and reseller partners access to its Double-Take lines under the terms of a new distribution contract.

Designed to take advantage of Entatech’s existing relationship with Fujitsu, Vision claims that the combination of its own data replication and migration software with Fujitsu hardware and, in particular, its vShape solution, will help the channel migrate customers quicker and more easily, with minimal impact on day-to-day user activity.

“Entatech is one of the largest distributors for Fujitsu server and storage products, which provides us with a significant new growth opportunity for the future. For any organisation that wants to protect their existing virtualised environments or set up a cloud platform, Entatech and Vision Solutions can help that company get to their intended destination faster and with little to no downtime,” said Vision’s Ian Masters, sales director for Northern Europe.

“Our aim is to help customers migrate, protect and recover their data. This partnership will extend those opportunities to a new group of companies in future, particularly in the public sector where Entatech and Fujitsu are currently successful,” he added.

“[Vision] products have a long established track record of reducing downtime whether for high availability, disaster recovery or during migration, and they will help us to fill potential gaps within our partners solutions portfolios. The products also complement our existing Microsoft licensing and Fujitsu server products, making it easier for our partners to go to market with us,” explained Dominic Hoskins, software licensing channel manager at Entatech.

“We will also be launching some great value added bundles based on the combination of these three market-leading organisations, which I’m confident will be popular with our corporate customers.”
