Security industry veteran Ciaran Rafferty has joined the ranks of Clearswift as worldwide senior vice president of sales with a brief to use his channel knowledge to bring the vendor greater success.

Emerging revenue opportunities for the channel with digital transformation
Digital transformation is a phrase that means many things to many people but for it to have any real relevance to the channel then it needs to mean a chance to make money. This guide will share some of the recent developments in the channel and the latest thoughts about the issue.

With a CV that includes most recently time as vice president Northern EMEA at Proofpoint and spells before that at Sophos, SAP, HP and Dun & Bradstreet the appointment of Rafferty is one designed to take advantage of that expertise.
Heath Davies, Clearswift chief executive, said that it was also attractive to get someone on board that had wide knowledge of working with the channel: "He brings a plethora of experience in solution-selling and has a proven track record of working successfully with a partner ecosystem; this is experience that Clearswift will benefit from, enabling us to be positioned to achieve, and hopefully exceed, our targeted growth goals.”
In his response to the appointment Rafferty said that Clearswift had growth opportunities, particularly as it built on the muscle of its owners Lyceum, which picked up the vendor for £30m back in November 2011.
"We are looking to re-energize the global channel eco-system, putting our clients and partners at the core of our decision making," he said.
