Swedish optical network specialist Transmode has taken its first steps to start building an indirect channel in the UK as it appoints a handful of partners that are focused on vertical markets.
Horsebridge Network Systems, MMX Communications Services and Xantaro UK have signed up and will be targeting the public sector, defence and the heath markets and will help the predominately direct-selling firm extend its reach.
Mark Burton, vice president Europe for Transmode, said that the resellers which had signed up would be in a position to provide support to customers in vertical markets.
“These three new partners have been chosen to not only be strong partners individually but to also complement each other in projects requiring sophisticated service offerings," he added.
Mark Hutchinson, managing director at Xantaro UK, summed up the views of the three partners pointing out that it was a great endorsement for them being chosen to lead the vanguard of the push by Transmode into the channel.
Transmode has been operating in the UK since 2000 and has sold directly in the country, although it has used partners in other countries.
