SAP takes wraps off mobile app programme

SAP has launched a mobile apps programme offering support for those channel developers that fancy developing applications that will be sold via the vendor's store

SAP has taken the wraps off a mobile apps partner programme inviting software specialists to put their thinking caps on and develop for both the business and consumer markets.

At the same time the vendor has also revealed it has integrated software development frameworks for Adobe, Appcelerator Titanium and Sencha.

“Mobile technology has become the touch-point that unites the workforce across any organization, no matter the size,” said Sanjay Poonen, president, mobile division, SAP.

“We recognize that this presents valuable opportunity for the millions of mobile developers looking for ways to monetize and scale, " he added "SAP has created an end-to-end support system that helps ensure that mobile developers around the world have easy access to SAP resources – from our developer center and partner program to the extensive options offered by partner solutions like Adobe, Appcelerator and Sencha."

Those developers that want to get involved with creating apps will be given access to tools that will help them build, market and sell their wares.

The vendor will also sell the results via its SAP store and has already got around 100 developers signed up to the programme.
