Its parent Daisy Group may still have the bit between its teeth, but the firm's channel-facing comms solutions arm, Daisy Wholesale, says it is not planning any further buys as it concentrates on the integration of recent acquisition
Speaking to MicroScope today, managing director Carl Churchill - formerly commercial director with
- said the firm had learnt a lot from the rapid integration of several other companies, but for now would "categorically not" be looking for further buy-and-build opportunities.
"From our perspective its now about driving business efficiency and organic growth," he said.
In the past 12 months it has also bought Your Network Solutions (YNS) and Cole Robert Co, as well as the UK reseller base of Aussie comms provider Telstra.
Churchill said the time was now right to concentrate on "taking our proposition to the next level".
"We really want to infiltrate the IT channel. We have a great comms channel but we need to get more SIs and hardware dealers to see beyond the tin," said Churchill. "This year we want to develop more managed services options and get more recurring revenue, higher margin opportunities into the channel."
Daisy Wholesale plans to ramp up its investment in data centre facilities; managed services, including white-label comms; and VPN and MPLS provision. It is also targeting resellers active in the IBM and Cisco channels.
Said Churchill: "We're having some serious conversations with the hardware vendors. We run a Cisco network ourselves and we want to capitalise on that."
He emphasised, however, that he planned to remain largely vendor-agnostic.
The unit is currently in-line to make sales of approximately £55m this year, and is thought to account for about 20% of group sales.
