Cloud and virtualisation have been the technologies in demand over the third quarter as customers look to embrace software in order to support growth.
According to the latest Pearlfinders Index, which takes the pulse of IT directors, virtualisation followed by cloud were the most desired technologies with software knowledge being seen as a crucial attribute in a supplier.
The driver for technology deployment was to support growth with efficiency gains not far behind but using IT to underpin out and out cost-cutting came at the bottom of the table.
For those resellers interested in tapping up customers for virtualisation and cloud sales the most favored option is the phone followed by email with post not seen as one of the key ways customers will look for supplier prospects.
