Virgin Media Business announced today that it is to begin selling Unify’s Unified Communications solution OpenScape.
The agreement furthers Unify’s channel strategy of partnering with global service providers. The new partnership will specifically focus on central and local government as well as the healthcare sectors.
“Public sector organisations are striving to offer their employees new and more flexible ways to remain connected,” said Duncan Higgins, marketing director, Virgin Media Business. “As the UK workforce continues to become increasingly mobile, Virgin Media Business is committed to helping its customers find the right technologies to achieve this. This agreement with Unify complements our existing core Unified Communications portfolio.”
Unify is one of the leading providers of UC solutions, claiming to provide integrated communications to approximately 75% of the Fortune Global 500; however, there is increasing competition in marketplace with the likes of Microsoft ramping up its offerings.
“The agreement further recognises the strengths of Unify’s OpenScape portfolio and validates its position as a leading solutions provider in the unified communications space,” said Trevor Connell, managing director of West EMEA, Russia and APAC at Unify. “Whether cloud-based or on-premise, we are ideally positioned to deliver services that really change the way UK organisations work and succeed.”
